Melyssa Lee is songwriter/singer and instrumentalist who shares her life reflections through her music.
Her music explores themes of presence, authenticity and love. The result is a mix of folk-roots Americana-styled melodic, Lilith-influenced music, written on guitar or piano. Her songs describe stories, feelings and struggles as a mature Canadian born mother of immigrant parents.
Currently, she has recorded her first EP "Simply", a collection of stripped down acoustic recordings of songs that describe seasons of life: birth, childhood, love and death. The first single will be released in January 2023 with the remaining EP released before spring 2023.
Another album is also planned to be released prior to summer of 2023, called "Treasures".
Melyssa Lee's vocals range from being gentle, smooth and flexible to powerful, and soulfully melasmic to bring you on an emotive journey through universal life experiences.
"My goal is to make music to help heal and make personal connections. If I have written a song inspired by another person, I aim to increase awareness and bring people together for that person's cause in the ways that I can."
